Hello everyone,

There are at least two aspects of Project F123.org that are worth exploring in these pages: We will speak of everything that has been achieved and is coming up next, as well as, outreach and sustainability.

There are two statistics that inspired us to begin F123.org and which are behind a lot of the strategic decisions made; in particular when it comes to low cost and scalability:

This organization, which focuses on education of children who are blind or visually impaired around the world, estimates that 9 out of every 10 kids who are blind or visually impaired in developing countries have no access to education.

The International Labor Organization estimates that 99% of women with disabilities in developing countries are illiterate.

For us, absurd statistics such as these are blatant evidence that public policies in the area of education of children with disabilities in the last few decades have been a complete failure. They also show that it is time to propose new models for technological development and distribution, as well as knowledge sharing.

New policies, based on better and more scalable strategies, are essential if we are ever to see the rights and promises of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities become reality.

F123.org is our proposal for a scalable model that can be applied to any number of modern challenges, and we will use this space to share our progress. We welcome your feedback and suggestions, and above all, thank you for your interest.
